Pronti per il ponte di Pasqua? 

Vi suggerisco una città dai mille volti, semplice da organizzare e, anche se il clima politico spaventa, una città assolutamente sicura!! Io spesso la sera percorrevo da sola la via di ritorno verso il mio hotel in cui alloggiavo senza alcun pericolo o senza esser 'importunata'.

Ad Istanbul non ci si annoia di certo, moltissime le cose da fare e non perdere. Tra le prime sicuramente non si possono trascurare i i tanti Bazaar  

Ci si immerge nei profumi ed i colori del suo mercato delle spezie 

Ready for the Easter break?

I suggest a city with a thousand faces, simple to organize and, although the political climate might scare, it is an absolutely safe city !! I often walked alone during the the night the way back to my hotel where I lodged without any danger or without being 'bothered'.

Istanbul will not be bored for sure, many things to do and not to be missed. Among the first definitely you can not overlook the various Bazaar

We are immersed in the scents and colors of the spices market

 Per non parlare del bazar dei libri, un vero e proprio tesoro nascosto in una delle viuzze che circondano uno dei mercati più famosi al mondo: il Grand Bazar

Another is the bazaar of books, a real hidden treasure in one of the narrow streets that surround one of the most famous markets in the world: the Grand Bazaar

E che dire delle sue moschee? Molto diverse tra loro, lasciano letteralmente senza fiato, alcune anche fisicamente visto che si trovano in cima alla collina, come la moschea Suleymanye Camii (anche solo il panorama ripaga di tutta la fatica fisica..)

And what about its mosques? Very different one from each other, literally they leave you breathless, some even physically because they are located on top of the hill, as the Suleymanye Camii Mosque (even just the view is worth the physical fatigue..)

Istanbul è anche la città nella città. Ci sono circa 27 distretti con le proprie caratteristiche e tradizioni. Vi suggerisco di non perdere un'escursione a piedi nei quartieri di Fatih, Tener e Balat, resterete sorpresi che basta girare l'angolo  per ritrovarsi nel quartiere greco fatiscente 

Istanbul is also a city in the city. There are about 27 districts with its own characteristics and traditions. I suggest you not to miss a tour by feet in the Fatih, Tener and Balat district, you will be surprised as you just turn the corner to find yourself in the run-down greek neighborhood

Città ricca di venditori ambulanti, non ho potuto resistere nel fermarmi a comprare in uno dei carretti sulla strada un simit, ciambelline di pane ricoperte di sesamo, buonissime sia semplici che farciti al momento con marmellata o nutella

City full of street vendors, I could not resist stopping and buying from one of the carts on the road a simit, bread donuts covered of sesame, delicious both simple and stuffed  at the time with jam or Nutella

Si mangia divinamente, dalla varietà di street food offerti dai li chioschetti di  Kebap o il  balik ekmek,  panino con pesce cotto alla brace, guarnito con insalata fresca e cipolla cruda, cotto e servito direttamente dalle mani dei pescatori, agli innumerevoli suggestivi locali che offrono cibi tipici.

You eat divinely, the variety of street food offered by kiosks with Kebab or balik ekmek, a sandwich with barbecued fish, garnished with fresh raw onion salad, cooked and served straight from the hands of the fishermen, to the countless suggestive small 

restaurants that offer typical foods

Senza dimenticare lo shopping, impossibile resistere alla manifattura turca. Ecco un'esempio di piccolo gadget che ho portato via con me

Do not forget shopping , impossible to resist the Turkish manufacturing. Here is an example of a little gadget that I brought away with me

Non lasciatevi sfuggire una passeggiata nella parte più moderna della città, piazza Taksim. Da non perdere il te pomeridiano con il budino di riso, assolutamente da gustare!!

Do not miss a walk in the most modern part of the city, Taksim Square. Do not miss the afternoon tea with the rice pudding, you will love it !!

Il ricordo più bello, è lo sguardo e l'allegria dei pescatori lungo il Bosforo.

Cosi lascio Istanbul, salutandola con la vista della moschea blu, simbolo della città. Bye Bye Istanbul, arrivederci a presto!!

So I leave Istanbul, saying goodbye with the view of the Blue Mosque, the symbol of the city. Istanbul Bye Bye, see you soon!!
